Description
Glycoprotein standards consist of qualified glycoproteins to be dissolved in adsorption buffers for the monitoring of lectin column activity. The standards should be used before the application of any samples to the column and after 5 to 10 runs or after a long period of storage in order to determine any loss of activity. Carbohydrate standards consist of a mixture of p-nitrophenyl (PNP) labeled mono- and disaccharides. The labeling facilitates a UV monitoring at 300 nm of only a few micrograms. The carbohydrates are separated on the lectin column according to their structure. They can be used to monitor column separation performance.
