Contaminants - It all Depends on the Origin
Environment: inevitable
Environmental contaminants are ubiquitous and mainly due to industrialisation. The stable substances accumulate in the food chain and thus lead to contamination of food. Dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) are considered persistent environmental toxins. Therefore maximum limits for contaminations in food were issued by the EU in the regulations 1881/2006 and the regulation for contaminants. GALAB offers an extensive range of services for the analysis of environmental contaminants.

Production and Packaging: Preventable
You have a high quality product - do you also have high quality packaging? An unsuitable packaging material is one of the most common reasons for contamination of food. We protect your product by checking the packaging. Our packaging and food analyses provide safety for all your products.

Feeding Stuff: Carry-over
Whether veterinary drugs or contaminants, feeding stuff is a source of residues in food of animal origin. This is an important point for the organic market with its high quality requirements. We check your feed for carry-over of veterinary drugs and environmental contaminants.
