| By airport shuttle to the main railway station Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (30 minutes). Departure every half hour. |

By rapid-transit railway S2 or S21 to Hamburg-Bergedorf (20 minutes)
Then take bus No.12 ! (Metrobus) via Geesthacht to the station «Geesthacht ZOB» (30 minutes). Then take a taxi to GALAB (10 minutes). |

From Berlin on highway A24 use exit Talkau and follow the B207 to Schwarzenbek. In the village Dassendorf turn left to Geesthacht. Follow the B5 in the direction of Lauenburg. 3 km after Geesthacht there are two signboards «Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, HZG» and «GITZ» on the right side. Turn right and follow the «Max-Planck-Str.» to the HZG Research Centre. GALAB is located inside the HZG. After the entrance take the first street on the left hand side.

From the south use the highway A1, A7 or A250 towards Hamburg. At the «Horster Dreieck» follow the A1 in the direction of Hamburg/Lübeck. At the cross «Hamburg Süd» follow the highway to Berlin/Lübeck. Take the exit «Geesthacht» and follow the highway A25 to Geesthacht. The highway ends 1 km outside Geesthacht. Take the B5 and cross Geesthacht. Follow the B5 in the direction of Lauenburg. 2 km after Geesthacht there are two signboards «Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, HZG» and «GITZ» on the right site. Turn right and follow the «Max-Planck-Str.» to the HZG Research Centre. GALAB is located inside the HZG. After the entrance take the first street on the left hand side. |
